Diagnosis. The smallest of the white Bornean species, P. delphiaria has a
relatively much larger forewing ocellus, with the darker markings extending into
the continuation of the medial fascia to the tornus. The faint brown postmedial
is more strongly sinuous on the forewing and of more irregular course on the
hindwing, and the submarginal row of grey spots is more uneven.
Geographical range. India, Burma, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia,
Singapore, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. The species is rare, taken in lowland localities with
disturbed habitats present.
